1
WP1: Project Coordination and Management
WP1 it will handle the general management and coordination of project activities, technical and financial administration, and internal communication within the Partner Consortium. It will ensure a smooth and effective project implementation, completing all planned activities on time and within scope. It will closely monitor the project activities and corrections will be introduced if necessary.
WP1 is led by DHLTU with Prof. Hamidatu Darimani as project coordinator.

WP2: Investigation of the HEI’s current capacities in the area of SWM
WP2 identifies existing Higher Education Institution (HEI) programs in Europe and Africa focused on Waste Management. It also assesses the employment needs of the Solid Waste Management (SWM) industry in Ghana, Sierra Leone, and Burkina Faso, specifically for graduates of the proposed MSc program. This includes identifying new e-skills essential for future SWM managers, refining and prioritizing the needs analysis.
The collected data on needs, technologies, and skills will benchmark the training material and its delivery methods. Throughout this process, existing curricula, best practices, techniques, and innovative technologies will be integrated into drafting specifications and training material characteristics. This approach ensures the creation of a truly new and innovative MSc program by accurately assessing existing courses and labor needs in the region.
WP2 is led by Ledea Bernard OUEDRAOGO university -ULBO with Prof. Adama OUEDA as WP responsible.

WP3: Building capacity for improvement of graduates employability
WP3 will organize two study visits in Europe, which will include two workshops. During these workshops, the educational product, its structure, and expertise level will be defined. WP3 will also propose modules to be developed for academia. Furthermore, it will develop courses to train students in crucial soft skills, including communication, project management, and entrepreneurship
WP3 is led by University of Basilicata UNIBAS with Prof. Salvatore MARGIOTTA as WP responsible .

WP4: Academic staff training and preparation for delivery
WP4 addresses the professional development of partner staff, opportunities that are often limited in higher education institutions. This work package will enable professors from Africa to collaborate with leading experts in their field from Europe, updating their skills and knowledge. This preparation will ensure they are ready for the delivery of the new MSc program at their respective universities.
Additionally, WP4 will pilot a one MSc semester and carry out the assessment of the educational product for further improvement. It will also plan student internships in local waste management industries.
WP4 is led by University of EVORA (UEVORA) with Prof. Teresa Batista as WP responsible .

WP5: Ensuring sustainability and broad impact at regional level
WP5 will deliver the MSc course and carry out the accreditation process in Ghana, Sierra Leone, and Burkina Faso. To ensure continuous improvement, it will create evaluation tools, such as questionnaires and interviews, for course monitoring and enhancement. Finally, WP5 will establish and equip the WARM Labs to involve students in research activities and stimulate their sense of initiative

WP6: Quality Assurance, Monitoring & Evaluation
WP6 is dedicated to ensuring that all planned activities, resources, and objectives are correctly executed, used, and achieved. It will nominate the Quality Assurance Committee (QAC) to supervise project quality, monitor progress, and evaluate Work Plan execution. WP6 will also manage risks and apply mitigation actions, while analyzing the immediate and short-term impact of the project activities.

WP7: Dissemination, Exploitation, and Sustainability of Results
WP7 drives a targeted, systematic dissemination process, starting early in the project. This involves identifying and engaging relevant stakeholders, with a focus on SWM businesses in partner countries to enhance graduate employability by creating labor market links. Information is broadly disseminated through targeted actions, and project knowledge promotes best practices in waste management.
Exploitation and sustainability efforts include planning for the long-term viability of results, continued development of the WARM curriculum and its outputs, fostering the partnership between European and African HEIs, and expanding cooperation with SWM companies and other sector industries.
